Our Solution
GridDuck helps with energy saving in a number of ways. Our system allows you to gain data and better manage energy usage across one or more sites in four simple steps. As part of the process, we offer a guide for energy saving and a follow-up call to make sure you’re making the most of our system. Here’s how it works:
1) Made-to-Measure Monitoring
The first step is to find out which areas or machines you’d like to monitor.
Think: which equipment is the most expensive and/or energy intensive? Which is most likely to have a maintenance issue? Which equipment are you considering replacing? Our Sales team will help you make your decision in an online demonstration of our dashboard.
Once we’ve agreed on the best hardware and software package for your needs, we ask for two sets of documentation: your monthly energy bill and your 5 year electrical test certificates. Once we’ve got your information, we’ll draw up a proposal showing you what kit you need and how much we think you could save using GridDuck.
2) Installation
If you’re happy with the proposal, we will arrange an installation.
During installation, a qualified electrician will set up your hardware. We use trusted installers and remain in close contact with them during site visits to ensure our clients can get going with GridDuck as fast as possible. We can also work with your preferred installer.
3) We help you to Analyse, Automate and Save…
Every GridDuck install comes with GridDuck’s 10 Ways to Save guide, which will explain some of the ways you can use your data to make savings on your energy bill.
These steps include setting alerts, making operational changes and automations as well as making data-driven investment decisions.
To give you a little extra confidence, we also schedule a follow-up meeting where you can ask any questions about your data in the dashboard and receive advice on how you can maximise your savings. We’ll help you track your progress so far, and identify issues that you still need to work on. As you introduce operational changes, replace equipment or invest in new technology, you can analyse the efficacy of these steps using our data.
4) And Repeat!
From here, it’s simply a case of repeating the steps that save you the most money, fixing the problem areas and using your data to highlight any new energy waste that arises on your site.
